Dr. Tanya Hatchett is the founder owner of Clover Creek Animal Health and Doc’s Feed along with her husband David. She is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing for 15 years in the Roanoke valley. Dr. Hatchett has owned, bred and shown horses since she was 16. Originally from Maine, she started out in 4-H and went to Eastern States Exposition and was Downeast Horse Congress Queen. She has shown her horses at nationally sanctioned appaloosa, quarter horse and paint shows. When not involved at the office, Dr. Hatchett and David spend their time at the beach and travelling.
Brett has been riding for 14 years. He started in Roanoke with Sara Baker of Steadfast Stables where he bought his first pony and continued to ride for 10 years. Later he bought another horse from Sara that he still uses in his program. Brett acquired two horses from Hollins University as well, one of which turned into a really nice show horse. The second became part of his program at home as a beginner lesson horse. He moved to northern Virginia nearly two years ago where he rode and groomed for a top eventing professional before moving on to a hunter-jumper sales barn. Brett started Breezy Rock Stables 5 years ago at his home in Botetourt where he has returned and re-started his business training and selling horses and teaching lessons.
